And cheering!!π

Proud of the Rockets today! Started at 8:30 picking up tornado debris, by 11:30 they were back at school doing what we do best; academics, and now they are in Ft. Smith playing basketball!

Our kids did such a great job today we have a request to help Bruce Dunlap's family. Tomorrow the junior and senior class will go to his house and the 7th -10th grades will go to the Linkers. Thanks to all for understanding this fluid situation as we try and help all we can.

Junior High Rockets will be playing in the Opal Pistole Tournament at County Line starting this Saturday, January 18. Jr Girls will play at 10:00 and Jr Boys at 3:00. See brackets here!

Thank you to all those who donated gloves! If anyone has five gallon buckets we could use please drop them by the school tonight or in the morning by 8:15. You can leave them on the administration office porch.

What a great day to be a Rocket! I could not be prouder of how our students worked and behaved today. We will go to the Linker's tomorrow for a couple of hours. I stress your student does NOT have to participate. They will be supervised at school. Thank you staff as well!

Mini Cheer Camp registration forms are due THIS FRIDAY!!

Sorry for the confusion on the dates, please help spread the word so that no one gets left out.

Reminder basketball parents...games originally scheduled for tomorrow, Jan 13, have been rescheduled on Jan 27 against St. Paul.

Slight change of plans for tomorrow, we will go to Grenwelge Farm tomorrow and Linkers on Tuesday.

Students and parents who received these last messages please spread the word so our students will know to dress properly. We suggest jeans, boots or old shoes, gloves, jacket and hat. Be proud of your community, and your community will be proud of you!

Continued: Many of our students have reached out to the administration wanting to help. Our school is part of the community and the community is part of our school. Again your child is NOT required to go. Questions or concerns please contact tcook@scrantonrockets.net

Continued: On Tuesday we will go to Grenwelge farms from 8:30 to 11:30. Your child is NOT required to help. For those who wish to remain at school we will provide for them to stay at school. Students should dress appropriately to clean up debris.

ATTENTION STUDENTS AND PARENTS: On Monday and Tuesday our 7-12 grade students will be helping clean up our community from the storm damage last night. Buses will transport students to Doug and Susan Linkers on Monday from 8:30 until 11:30 to assist with debris.

If you need assistance and have my cell phone number or Rhonda Johnson's number please let us now. You may also contact me through email at tcook@scrantonrockets.net

If anyone needs assistance after last night's storm please contact the school administration. In conjunction with Helping Our Kids we can provide clothing, food, personal care items, etc. I also have students willing to help clean up...don't underestimate what our kids can do!

Storm shelter is open!
